Best Industrial Pallets to Buy in Singapore

The pellet is a flat transport structure that supports the cargo in a stable manner while being lifted by a forklift, pallet jack, front loader, a jacking device, or a vertical crane. A palette is the structural basis of a unit’s load, which allows for utility handling and storage. Goods or shipping containers are often placed on a pallet that is stored and shipped with a strap, stretch wrap or shrink envelope. Since its invention in the twentieth century, its use has dramatically replaced the old forms of crates such as wooden boxes and wooden barrels, as it works well with modern packaging such as corrugated boxes and intermodal containers. While most pallets are made of wood, pallets can also be made of plastic, metal, paper and recycled materials.

Adtec offers good solutions in pallets and packaging components for any type of shipment, storage, forwarding or export and for indoor use. They offer a wide range of pallets made of different materials, such as presswood and plastic pallets. According to phytosanitary ISPM15 regulations, they insist on our palette suitable for export, free from pests and moisture and no additional treatment is required.

Their pellets are widely used in exports, they are competitive in transportation and storage prices, environmental, hygienic, and they stand out in terms of meeting their standards.

Plastic Pallet

Plastic pallets are often made of recycled PET or new HDPE. They are generally extremely durable, lasting up to a hundred or more cycles, and resisting weather, rot, chemicals and corrosion. The advantages of plastic pallets over wood pallets include the ability to easily disinfect, odor resistance, fire prevention, long service life, durability and better product protection, non-exploding, and lightweight. They often stack. Plastic pallets are exempt from inspection for biosafety concerns, and are easily sanitized for international shipping.

Pallet and dowels can be combined, creating instability of the pallet and the need for additional lifting equipment, as well as valuable space in a busy operating environment. They also save significant time and cost by reducing supply chain handling. The recycling of plastics has been instrumental in increasing the use of plastic pallets.

Wooden Pallets

Pallets production in the United States uses 43% hardwood and 15% softwood. The cheapest pallets are made of softwood and are often considered cost-effective, discarded as trash along with other wrapping elements at the end of the trip. These pallets are simple stringer pallets. Slightly more complex, hardwood block pallets, plastic pallets and metal pallets can be lifted from all sides. These expensive pellets usually require a deposit and are either returned to the sender or resold as a use. Many “four-way” palettes are color-coded according to their load and other characteristics.

Stringer Pallets

Stringer pallets are the original models of wooden pallets. They use a frame of three or more parallel pieces of wood. The top deck board is then glued to the stringers to form the palette structure. Stringers can cut marks in pellets, allowing “four-way” entry. The forklift can lift a Stringer pellet from all four directions, although it is safer to carry it with Stringers. Stringer pallets can be made from both wood and plastic.

Block Pallet

Block palettes use both parallel and vertical wires to improve efficient handling. A block palette is also known as a “four-way” palette, as the pellet jack can be used from any side to move it.

Flush Pallet

Flush palettes are palettes with deck boards that are flush with stringers and stringer boards at the ends and sides of the palette.

Perimeter Base Pallet

All Stringer and some block pellets have “non-directional bases”, meaning the bottom panels are in one direction. Although automated handling equipment can be designed for this, it can often work faster and more efficiently if the bottom boards on the bottom edges of a pallet are oriented in both directions. For example, it may not need to bend the pallet to rack, and the operation is less sensitive to the orientation of the pallet.

Paper Pallet

Paper pallets, also called “ecoplates”, are often used for light loads, but engineered paper pallets are increasingly used for loads that compare to wood. Paper pellets are also used where recycling and disposal are essential. The new designs of eco pallets are made from just two flat pieces of corrugated board and weigh only 4.5 kg (9.9 lb), which dramatically saves freight. Ecopallets are also exempt from ISPM 15, which negates fumigation and barrier “slip” sheets. They are clean, safe, and provide a cost-effective alternative to other pellet materials. Some engineered corrugated pellets offer significantly lower altitudes, which significantly reduces freight costs.

Steel Pallet

Steel pallets are strong and are used for heavy loads, high stacking loads, long term dry storage, and loads transmitted through abusive logistics systems. They are often used for military ammunition. Metal pellets make up less than 1% of the market. Materials include aluminium, carbon steel, stainless steel. Of these, carbon steel offers the best durability at the lowest prices. Stainless steel does not require paint coating, and is preferred for applications such as clean room environments.

Aluminum

Aluminum pallets are stronger than wood or plastic, lighter than steel, and resistant to weather, rot, plastic crawling and corrosion. They are sometimes used for airborne, long-term overseas or sea storage, or for military transport.

Spill Pallet

A spill palette is a bundled palette designed to hold liquids, such as oil and fuel containers, typically in drums with a capacity of approximately 205 liters. Such pellets help to catch any leakage or spread that may come out of the container in case of any inconvenience to the public, such as arson. Spill pallets are made of either UV stabilized polyethylene, galvanized steel, stainless steel or mild steel for protection from harmful chemicals.

Ordinary pallets do not work as well as spill pellets because they are usually made later to protect against chemical spills. Spill pellets help businesses dealing with liquid chemicals to protect against any unforeseen chemical disasters. They help catch any leaks or spills that may accidentally fall out of the containers, to protect employees from hazards in the workplace. Another great feature of Spill Pallets is the mobility between floors. They are usually transported by pallet jacks and forklifts. They are neatly arranged inside each other so that they can be easily stored without taking up so much storage space.
