Quibi 100M Roku ChannelStreetJournal: New Shows Coming to the Roku Channel

When it comes to the Quibi 100M Roku ChannelStreetJournal, it seems that there are a lot of new shows coming to the platform. Whether it’s a new show with Anna Kendrick or Sophie Turner, or a classic like Liam Hemsworth, there are plenty of options out there. You can even stream these and other great content to your TV if you have a Quibi 100m.

Netflix CEO & Movie Mogul

Quibi 100M Roku ChannelStreetJournal, a mobile entertainment startup founded by former Netflix CEO and movie mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg, is shutting down its operations. Roku, the hardware and software firm that sells streaming devices to consumers, purchased the rights to more than 75 shows from the company in December for less than $100 million. It’s not clear whether Roku will make them available to consumers or just take them off the hands of Quibi’s stars.

Most High-Profile Programs

The company’s most high-profile programs include “Murder House Flip” and “The Most Dangerous Game.” The latter was inspired by a game show from the 1980s, and was a fusion of home improvement and true-crime programming. These are among the shows that were most likely to have found their way onto the Roku Channel, which boasts a hefty 61.8 million subscribers. While they may not draw as many viewers, they’re a good way to test the Roku’s newfound scale and advertising power.

Original Programming

Quibi 100M Roku ChannelStreetJournal has also announced plans to introduce a free ad-supported streaming service later this year. This would be a major boon to the company, which has not committed billions of dollars to original programming.

Slate of Shows

Liam Hemsworth is joining the ranks of Quibi’s slate of shows. The action-thriller series will star the actor, who is known for his role as Thor in Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World and as Hugo in the blockbuster hit The Hunger Games. According to the company, the series will focus on a terminally ill man who joins a deadly cat-and-mouse game.

Phil Abraham

The new show is being shopped around to other streaming services, and also will air on Roku as well. It will be directed by Phil Abraham, who has been the director of several shows including Prison Break and also Daredevil. While details of the plot are eluding us, we can assume the villains will be rich people.

Meanwhile, the new show will be produced by CBS Television Studios. Hemsworth will be executive producing, and there are no specific details yet. Other shows include “Murder House Flip,” a home improvement and true-crime mash-up, and also Steven Spielberg’s horror series, “Most Dangerous Game,” about human-hunting.

Sophie Turner

If you’re a fan of Sophie Turner, you’ll be happy to know that she’ll be appearing in a new thriller series for Quibi. The new show, Survive, is set to debut in the spring. It’s a reboot of the ’90s MTV dating show hosted by Keke Palmer, and it stars Corey Hawkins, Tye Sheridan and Sophie Turner.

As a result of this deal, Roku will have access to a large amount of content from the Quibi library. They’ll be able to release 75 “Roku Originals” this year, with 23 of them debuting on August 13. These shows will be free with ads. In addition to the new originals, Roku will be making more of its existing shows available.

Traditional TV & Movie

However, Quibi did not offer an app for watching its programming on televisions. This could make it difficult for the company to repackage its content in a traditional TV and also movie format. Therefore, it’s possible that some of the projects might not be able to make it out of development.

Daniel Radcliffe

Roku announced several new shows coming to the Roku Channel on Tuesday. These include “To Paris for Love: A Rom Com” with Daniel Radcliffe, the Spanish-language series Delicioso, and also the comedy “Children Ruin Everything”.

Roku will also launch seven new culinary series. The Martha Stewart cooking show will be available on the Roku Channel, as will the Emeril Tailgates series from Emeril Lagasse.

Roku is planning to add more original programming in the future. It plans to release more than 75 Roku Originals over the next two years. Those shows will be based on the Quibi program catalog, which was purchased by Roku last year.

Final Words:

Roku has been meeting with production companies and also talent representatives to develop shows. This will include original feature-length productions.

Roku will produce scripted episodes and also unscripted episodes of the shows. The company plans to introduce new shows in 2022. As far as cost goes, the prices will be in the basic cable range.
